Top 5 Most Anticipated May/June Releases

Is it just me, or does it seem like gobs of books come out in May/June? I’m not complaining, though! That means plenty to read during summer break! Here are my top 5 most anticipated May/June releases:

5.) Puddin’ by Julie Murphy

This is a companion novel to Dupplin’, which I loved! Dupplin’ is such an important read about accepting your body and building your self-confidence. I vividly remember reading it at a time where my self-confidence was on the downhill. This book reassured me of what it means to love yourself and not give two hoots about what the haters might think! I can’t wait to see where the characters go in this next new addition! Also, I heard Dupplin’ is becoming a movie, which I am here for!!

4.) Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch

Omg when I heard this book was a thing, I had a mini dance party! The companion novel, Love & Gelato is one of my favorite summer reads, so I’m sure this book won’t disappoint! The first book follows Lina through Italy where she learns about her true roots and, of course, falls in love! Love & Luck follows Addie through Ireland, where her aunt’s wedding is soon to take place. Suddenly she finds herself lost and, of course, in love! Eek! I can’t wait to snag this book and dive into it!

3.) From Twinkle, With Love by Sandhya Menon

Last summer, I was on a wild goose chase trying to find When Dimple Rishi! I’d heard such great thing about it all over bookstagram and booktube, I just knew it would be a good one! Sure enough, it was! I loved the diversity and feminism weaved into the story lines and thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Indian culture and traditions. It was unlike anything I had ever read! All I know about this new one is that the amazing Sandhya Menon wrote it, so I’m sold! 🙂 Also, the cover is so gorgeous! Adding this one to my Amazon cart for sure!

2.) A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir

Okay y’all I read the first two books in the An Ember in the Ashes series at the end of last year and am for sure obsessed! Bookstagram got me into this series, hook, line, and sinker! Sabaa Tahir is amazing and the world she created never ceases to amaze me! I seriously cannot wait for this book to come out! It comes out next month, which is still too long to wait for me haha… I totally ship Laia and Elias and need to read about them more, more, more!!

1.) Legendary by Stephanie Garber

“Ladies and Gent, this is the moment we’ve been waiting for…” OMG GIVE ME A SECOND WHILE I CRY!!! I cannot believe Legendary comes out this month! I have been waiting for it since last January, which is far too long for an impatient, obsessive person like me! Caraval, the first book in this series, is my favorite book of all time. Period. Drop the mic. Stephanie Garber is a queen, y’all! I’m currently re-reading Caraval and the setting and immersive descriptions make my heart flutter! I don’t know how anyone acquires such a way with words! Okay, I’m going to stop obsessing now, but if you haven’t read Caraval yet, do yourself a favor and get on that before Legendary comes out!!

(Also, I just won an ARC of Legendary, which means I will have two copies when it comes out! Possible giveaway?!)

Legendary by Stephanie Garber

So basically, I’m going to be broke all May and June, but I mean, books can sustain me, right? I love how many books come out in May and June, and I guess it is my birthday month, so it’s justified…

What May and June upcoming releases are you looking forward to?!

The books I’m most excited for are A Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews and I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman! The latter should be arriving on my doorstep any day now…..!
